Sight screening with SRJK(T)Kinrara

Sight has always been the foremost important sensory organ that we are given birth to. However, there are many people who does not take good care of this sensory organ especially during their young age. Poor eye sight derived from many causes namely because of poor lightings environment thus giving rise to short sightedness, long sightedness and stypmotism. These type of condition can well be treated by visiting to a optometry and after performing various eyesight testing appropriate selection of corrective lenses will be prescribed to overcome the problem. However, there are various types of condition into which it was due to prolong serious disease state and thus contribute to the loss of eye sight. Among the many types of disease state illness that causes permanent eye loss would be condition like retinopathy or maculopathy caused by serious prolonged diabetes condition. As such it is extremely important to take good care of our eyesight.

Having realised that sight is so important, therefore, we LC of KL OUG has had once again co-ordinate with SRJK (T) Tamil to organise a sightfirst screening campaign dated on the 28th December 2009 to hold a sight-screening for the school children. From this event there are a total of more than 200 students benefited from this campaign. Thanks to Ln Thomas Kok et al to make this event a smooth flowing.

The event started off with a morning prayers by the students of the school. Thereafter, it was followed by a welcome speech by the school principal Mr. John. Proceeding, is a speech made by Club President Ln Lincoln on some of the ways to prevent for poor eyesight via enforcing good lifestyle habbits. Shortly after, the event proceeded with the actual sight screening procedures which is the core to this event. Below are some of the snapshots taken during the event.

Regional Lions Leadership Institute 2009

See how interesting the training session are being conducted. Ln Teoh the facilitator was so committed in delivering his presentation topic during the Regional Leadership course. Also, during the session, the participants are so proactive in raising constructive question to PDG Ln Ng Kim Leng during the seminar session.

Mmm...Thank you PDG Wong Chang Wai for your interesting session. All of us are very attentive busy recording the information being disseminated during the session.

Aiyoyoo...public speaking time during the last session...Guess what my legs are shivering and I could feel the Adrenaline rush up my bleamstream. So how ? Flight or Fright ? Die..die lah.. as Lions we need to be courages ma...so I decided to talk lol...Luckily was taught some of the tips on public speaking by PDG John Low. So, I will speak...So, please don't laugh when you hear some drumming effect behind the rostrum..Legs shaking ma..

See this is our team during the seminar session. All of us make up the best team. PDG Jason & DC Wong is with us. Now LLI done, we can party now. So happy!

H1N1 Awareness Campaign

Since the outbreak of the danger species of H1N1 Influenza like Flu Virus Type A gained entry into our country, our Health Ministry has had called on numerous campaigns throughout the country urging the public to undertake all necessary precautions so as to halt the widespread of the disease state. Due to the violence nature of the viruses characteristics, it has had taken many lives ranging from the infant babies to aged adults.

To synchronise with the efforts in preventing this H1N1 from further spread, we Lions Club of KL OUG has had under the recommendation of the Club BOD and their key officers has decided to organise a "H1N1 Prevention campaign" dated on the 26th October 2009, which is a Tuesday, 9am at SJK (T) Kinrara under the immense effort of the OC Ln Saw CH to make this meaningful campaign a success.

In this campaign we has had distributed surfactant solutions of Dettol to all the students as well as facial surgical masks to the students. We has had furnish the students with information on the H1N1 viruses ailments as well as some of the preventive measures in overcoming this violent virus. Below are some of the photos being taken during this event.

The campaign started with an early assembly greetings by the School Principal. This event was attended by Ln Lincoln, Ln Sidney, Ln Bee Huey & Ln Saw.

Following it was the distribution of Dettol solution to the fellow students. Photo on the right showed that Ln Bee Huey was busy distributing the Dettol solution to the students.

Together with it is our club President Ln Lincoln assisted in the distribution of the surfactant solution assisted by OC Ln Saw shortly after the morning greeting assembly.

Ln Sidney who is our Immediate Past President also happily assisted in the campaign.

This was immediately followed by an exchange of momentos to the school principal, Mr. John and vice versa.

Thumbs Up to LC of KL OUG, thank you to OC Ln Saw & the principal of SRJK (T) Kinrara for allowing this campaign to flow smoothly. We Lions care for your welfare regardless of your ethnic background.

Mooncake festival Fellowship

As for this year our club organises its Mooncake Festival cerebration on the 2nd October 2009 at RT Sector D. The Organizing Chairman for this event is Ln Sou Jim Peng. This year's cerebration we have Organised various activities. The fellowship started off with fellowship followed by playing various fun games.

Following it was Karaoke singing. The entire event ends at 11.30pm. Those attended the event includes Ln Sidney, Ln Thomas, Ln Mandy, Ln Lincoln, Ln Lau Teng Chye , Ln Sam Len Seng, Ln Tan See Shing, Ln Teoh Swee Khim, Ln Margaret Chong, Ln Khoo Bee Huey, Ln Sou Jim Peng & Ln Mary Wong.These are some of the pictures being taken from the fellowship.

Peace Poster Contest

Dated 30th September 2009 at 8am, we have had organised our Peace Poster Contest for the fiscal term 2009 / 2010 with SRJK (C) Chung Wen at Jalan Kelang Lama. This Peace Poster Contest. LC of KL Seputeh together we join in to organise this event. In total we have had about 750 students participated this meaningful event. The competition ended at 12.15 noon. Those attended this event includes the following members from our club namely, Ln TC Lau, Ln SL Chua who is the OC for this project, Ln Lincoln, Ln SK Teoh & Ln Mandy.

The program started off with Warm Welcome greeting from one of the teachers from Chung Wen Primary, thereafter, followed by a speech made by Presiding Officer from Ln Lincoln, President of KL OUG which provides a superficial brush paint scenerio of the happenings just few days before the outbreak of war. Thereafter, a brief discussion on the time of war outbreak, how the citizens suffered during the outbreak of a war. On the contrary, he also projects a scenerio in time of peaceful environment as to how the country benefit from no war in terms of the country's economy, crime rate and also in terms of country's production growth. Ln Lincoln concluded his speech by advicing potential future leaders and future potential country leaders to look more onto the aspect of peace rather than to indulge with any form of warfair act so as to diminish unwanted blood pouring event from happening into which it will only cause harm to the fellow citizens. He also remind potential future leaders to look into the interest of the citizens as a whole.

Shortly after it was followed by the official opening of the Peace Poster Contest whereby all students began to outpour their thoughts on Power of Peace into the visual representation.

As it reaches 12.30 noon, the students then surrended their masterpiece to the teachers in charge for evaluation. 13 pieces of masterpiece had been selected for further placement whereby the Champion at club level will be selected, 1st Runner up, 2nd Runner up followed by 10 special prizes. The 2nd Runner up and the special prize candidates will be sent to take part in the upcoming Peace Poster Contest at Zone Level to be scheduled on the 25th October 2009 at Carrefour Seri Petaling at 1.00pm.

The prize giving ceremony to the winners will be held on the 15th October 2009 in conjuction with the Children's Day cerebration at 8am. The First & Second placing masterpiece will be submitted to DG's for further evaluation during the Zone Meeting which will be held on the 4th October 2009.

The event ended with the distribution of door gifts to those participated the contest. The prize giving ceremony will be held on the 16th October 2009 at 8am, SJK (C) Chung Wen, Jalan Kelang Lama. Together with it there will be a Children's Day Celebration being scheduled on the same morning.

Merdeka Walk Getting to know your neighborhood

Dated 23rd August 2009, our club has had organised a community event at RT Sector 'D' Tmn OUG in conjunction to the Merdeka celebration. This event is a community walk with the main aim of fostering the neighborhood tie among the residents of OUG. The event started off at 9am sharp and our joinly organiser is Rukun Tetangga Sector D. Those present include Ln Thomas, Ln Sidney, Ln Lincoln, Ln Mary Wong, Ln Margaret Chong, Leo Allysa (Leo Club President), & 2 other Leo members.

1st day of the District Community Exhibition viz Blood Donation Campaign

Date 17th July 2009, which was the 1st day of the grand District Community Service Exhibition & Blood donation campaign that was held at the Lower Ground Concourse area at Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. As for our Club, LC of KL OUG, those attended this official event includes Ln Lincoln Song & Ln Sidney Shid

The event was officially launched at about 2.45pm whereby our Guest of Honor IGP Yang Dihormati Tan Sri Musa bin Hassan arrived at the scene with a huge army of policemen and policewomen of various ranks ranging from constable to ACP from various department.

Shortly after the arrival of the GOH and taking his seating, the official event started with the message from our DG Ln Datuk Danny Ooi. Followed by a message from IGP Tan Sri Musa bin Hassan.In his message, IGP express concern on making our country a crime free city whereby all citizen is able to walk out of the street at any time of the night without having to fear of snatch thief or breakins. He also encourage and promote the Rakan Cop program.

Thereafter, the event proceeded with the official opening ceremony by IGP and our DG Datuk Danny Ooi. After the opening ceremony is the presentation of wheelchair by LC of KL South, presentation of fruit basket to IGP YDH Tan Sri Musa b. Hassan. Entertainment commences thereof.

At the meantime IGP Tan Sri Musa b. Hassan pay visit to all the exhibition booths. Entertainment then follows.

The entire 1st day event ends at 5.30pm. Nevertheless, there will be more exciting demo tomorrow afternoon to be presented by the PDRM on techniques to dwelt with snatch thieves.

President Appreciation Fellowship 5.7.09

Time flies soon it was time for the a new fiscal term to commence. Traditionally each fiscal term both the outgoing & the incoming President will gather together and organise an appreciation dinner to thank all contributing members for their hardwork and contribution to the club throughout the fiscal term. This year is of no any difference, as for this year, this meaningful event was scheduled on the 5th day of the Seventh month, 2009 at Pearl International Hotel, Jalan Kelang Lama, Kuala Lumpur at 7pm. We are in debt to the Organising Chairman Ln Saw Choo Hong, Master of Ceremony PP Ln Thomas Kok as well as all his fellow subcomittee members who had make this event an enjoyable, interesting and program rich.

On this occasion we are extremely grateful to PDG Ln Wong Chang Wai who had accepted to be our Guest Of Honor for the event. Our heartiest thanks to Region Chairman Ln Cheah Kim Hai, Zone Chairman Ln Ee Yoke Seng, Zone Chairman Designate Ln Kenny Low & Youth Exchange & Leadership DC Ln Lau Teng Chye who had sacrificed their precious time to attend this event, which add pride to our club.

Following it was the presentation of appreciation momentos to Club members who has had contributed to the club throughout the fiscal term by IPP Ln Sidney Shid.

This was followed by the presentation of President Chain to incoming President Ln Lincoln by IPP Ln Sidney Shid.

Immediately after the presentation of President Chain, it was followed by the presentation of 3 District pins awarded to the best Organising Chairman's pin. The recipient for this pin were IPP Ln Sidney Shid & Incoming President Ln Lincoln Song. PDG Ln Wong Chang Wai was the presenter for the District best OC pin.

Thereafter, PDG Ln Wong Chang Wai proceeded with the presentation of the 3rd best OC pin to Ln Thomas Kok.

The evening event proceeded with course of dinner. Proceeding the event was a speech made by RC Ln Cheah Kim Hai, ZC Ln Ee Yoke Seng, DC Ln LauTeng Chye & ZC Elect Ln Kenny Low respectively.

Following it is the presentation of Donation of Rm 2,000 by Ln Dr. Yip Sook Har to Renal Center. The cheque was accepted by PDG Ln Wong Chang Wai.

The fellowship proceeded with messages to the club by FIL Mr. Lawrence & FIL Mr. Tan Boon Teong.

The meeting adjourned at 11pm and the fellowship proceeded after the adjourn meeting.

Joint Installation Of Club President & BOD 28.06.09

The Joint Installation of President & BOD for Region 3 & 4 has had just taken place at Bukit Jalil Golf Club, Bukit Jalil about an hour ago. During the installation fellowship, there are about 43 tables filled with seated Lions to witness the installation of the incoming President & board of directors for the fiscal term 2009/2010. The sub-committee of this meaningful ceremonial event were very greateful to the Guest of Honor DG Ln Dr. Kamalanathan and his beloved lady, VDG Datuk Ln Danny Ooi who was our installation officio and being presence to witness the ceremony were all Past District Governors, Cabinet Officers, Past Cabinet Officers, Lions Dignitaries, Club Presidents and Clubs representatives.

The event was rather enjoyable. The club was very grateful and filled with heartfelt thanks to those who present themselves despite of their tight commitment. Members that made themselves available for the event include CP Ln Saw Choo Hong, PP Ln Margaret Chong, PP Ln Thomas Kok, PP Ln Chua Siak Leng, ZC Ln Ee Yoke Seng, PRC Ln LauTeng Chye, Past Secretary Ln Khoo Bee Huey, 3rd Vice President Ln Teoh Teck Kooi, Ln Mary Wong Len Ti & Pres Lincoln Song. Nevertheless, due to unforseen circumstances, Secretary Ln Mandy Teoh extended her appologies, while Mr. Tan from the FIL was not present for the event. We are very happy that all tickets payments has been collected except for Mr. Tan into which it shall be at the club expense.

The event started off as per the program and was accompanied by entertainment events throughout. Following it was the Installation ceremony and eventually accomplished with a photo session with District Governor Ln JP Dr. Kamalanathan & VDG Ln Datuk Danny Ooi. Following it was the fellowship into which all Lions get to toast and dine exhibiting the full dynamic spirit of Lionism. From the atmosphere everybody seems to enjoy the fellowship. The entire installation program ends at 11.20pm. Despite of the wine effect after the fellowship, we wish remind all fellow Lions to have a safe journey home. Joint installation of Club Presidents & Board of Directors

On stepping into the new Fiscal term for 2009 / 2010, the District 308 B1 Region 3 & 4 has have worked together and organised a Joint Installation of Region 3 & 4 Club Presidents & BOD as well as to honor our District Governor. Prior to the actual event, the committee members of this event has been gathered around to discuss, to coordinate and to make plans on that night's event. In total there are about 6 sub-committee meetings being held and LC of Seputeh, Pres Ln Michael Low has been appointed as the Presiding Officer, while Region Chairman Ln Alan Yoong is the Organising Chairman for this meaning event. Thanks to DG Ln Kamalanathan who accepted the invitation of being the Guest of Honor for that night's event. The sub-committee members of this event comprised of all Region 3 & Region 4 Presidents or Incoming Presidents who will be the representative of their individual club with the region.

The Official event

This official district event will be held on the 28th June 2009, 6.30pm at Bukit Jalil Golf Resort, Bukit Jalil. There will be a total 42 tables allocated for the fellowship dinner at RM50 per pax. This 42 tables comprised of outstation clubs representatives. In order to encourage club members to attend the event early, there will be an EARLY BIRD DOOR GIFTS for those Lions members who reach there early and is of limited supply. Hence, FELLOW CLUB MEMBERS, PLEASE KINDLY REACH THE VENUE EARLY SO AS TO ELIGIBLE FOR THE EARLY BIRD GOODIES.

During the past years Lions Club of KL OUG had conducted numerous projects and activities to the community such as Blood Donations, environmental tree planting events, orphange and old folks home visiting, sight-first campaigns, karaoke competitions, Lions Orientation Night, Lions Information Nights, Anniversary charity dinner, Joint installation of BOD, Joint Orientation Seminar, Foodfair, Futsal, Treasure Hunting and many many more. Membership matters and its categories

Lions Club membership is via invitation. It is unlike any other into which you can just fill in a membership form and pay for your membership dues and thereafter you automatically becomes a member of the Organization. In fact with Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur OUG, you will have to undergo numerous procedures before you grant your membership status.

For any candidates who wishes to be a Lions, firstly, he /she must be introduced by a friend from a Lions Club and with his/her intense recommendation to the Membership Director and the Board Of Director will then requires the candidate to participate and attend certain no. of meetings, projects and activities. Thereafter, the Membership Director will then evaluate on the suitability and the level of commitments of the candidates and thereof be recommended to the Board Of Directors for endorsement after which the candidate has have fulfill the criterion. Once the Board of Directors acknowledges and approved the membership status, only then he or she will be installed as a Lions member in an installation ceremony.

Upon granting the Membership, the candidate will have to attend an Orientation Session into which it will be organized by either the District or by the respective club. It was after all the procedures that the candidate will then be endorsed as the Lions Club member. After granting the status of Membership the candidate will have to ensure and be responsible all of his doings that will abide the code of ethics laid and shall not tarnish the good image of the club and at the same time be responsible and stay committed to the club's matter especially in times of organizing any projects and activities.

Just like any other clubs, there are various categories of membership. Such as (a) Active Member (b) Member-at-Large (c) Honorary (d) Privileged (e) Life Member (f) Associate & (g) Affiliate. Each of these categories varies from each other. The variation of each will be elaborated as below :-

a) Active Member : Active Member is entitle to all rights and privileges and is subject to all obligations which membership in Lions club implies.

b) Member-at-large : A member who has moved out of the community & is unable to regularly attend meetings and desires to retain membership in the club. Nevertheless, membership of this type is unable to hold office or to vote at the conventions. Membership of this type is required to pay for their membership dues.

c) Honorary : An honor bestowed by the club to an individual who is not a member of the Lions Club, to recognise outstanding community service or service to the club.

d) Privileged : A member who has been a Lion for more than 15 years, who because of illness, infirmities or advanced age or other legitimate reason, must relinquish his or her active status. A Privileged member may vote but not an office bearer.

e) Life Member : A member who has maintained active status for 20 years or more ; or for 15 years & is 70 years of age can be granted life membership. Life members only pay one time payment to the Association in lieu of future dues. They have all the rights and privileges of membership.

f) Associates : A member who holds his/her primary membership in another club, but maintain residence or is employed in the community of the club in which he / she attends. Associate members can vote on club matters, but may not serve as a club delegate at District, multiple district or International Conventions, and are not eligible to hold office.

g) Affiliate Members : An individual who is currently unable to fully participate in the club, but wishes to support the club. He or she may not hold office and may not represent the club at district, MD or International conventions, but may vote on club matters.

About the Board of Directors

BOARD OF DIRECTORS :

LIONS CLUB is governed by a board of directors which comprised of a PRESIDENT, IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT, THREE (3) VICE PRESIDENTS, A SECRETARY, A TREASURER, TAMER, TAIL-TWISTER, FOUR OR MORE DIRECTORS & A MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR. The Officer are elected annually for a term coinciding with the association's fiscal year (1st July TILL 30th June). The Directors are elected for a duration term of TWO (2) years and the board meeting are monthly.

PRESIDENT : Club President serves as the CEO & presides all clubs regular monthly and BOD meetings. His responsibilities are as follows : (1) He shall issues the call for regular & special meetings as in compliance with the Club's bylaws or procedures. (2) Organized the Meeting Agenda of Meeting (3) Ensuring all committee activity is reported (4) Ensuring that Regular elections are duly called, noticed and held. (5) Co-operates with, and active member of the District Governor's Advisory Committee of the Zone (7) To attend the Zone Meeting.

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT (IPP) : IPP along with all Past President share the following responsibilities of (1) Official greeter of members & their guests at club meetings (2) represents the club in welcoming new people into the community served by the club (3) To attend the Zone Meeting.

VICE PRESIDENTS (VPs) : (1) In the event that the President should be unable to perform the duties of office for any reason, the VP next in rank shall occupies the position and exercise the duties with equal authority as per the President. (2) Each VP, under the direction of the President, oversees the functioning of various committees of the club (3) To attenf the Zone Meeting.

SECRETARY : Under the supervision of the President and the BOD, the Secretary served as a liaison officers between the club, the District & International Headquarters. The responsibilities as a Secretary includes the followings :- (1) Submit electronically on monthly MMR ( Membership reporting), MAP (Monthly Activities and Projects report ) reports to DG, VDG, Cabinet Secretary, Region Chairman, Zone Chairman & President before the Dateline of each month (2) Prepare at the beginning of each fiscal term a Yearly Planner to be submitted via email before 31st August each year to the DG, VDG, Cabinet Sec, Region Chairman, Zone Chairman & Club President (3) To prepare and inform notice of all meetings to the related parties at least 7 days before the Meeting while at least 14 days notice for AGM (4) To make record and to prepare minutes of all meetings (5) To keep in file all record of minutes and all correspondence. (6) To issue all financial statements to all members and issue out minutes who is absent from the meeting. (7) To inform and disseminate all information to Club members (8) To submit and prepare ROS form and Borang 49 to the ROS after 14th days of the AGM. (9) Prepare any resolutions during the meetings (10) at the beginning of the fiscal term prepare a resolution and a letter to be duly signed by Office Bearer on the change of signatories at the latest 7th day of fiscal term (11) To submit electronically A1 Form to DG, VDG, Cabinet Sec, RC, ZC on a monthly basis (12) To ensure and to complete PU101 ( i.e. incoming BOD candidates ) by March 15th. Prior to it you are required to remind the President to organise a nomination committee meeting with past presidents at the latest beginning of February the next year. (13) To prepare and submit all awards nomination forms to the DG, VDG, Cab Sec, RC, ZC before the stipulated dates. (14) As and when required you are required to attend some club events as per directive. (15) To keep track of all members attendance of Club activities & meetings (16) To attend the Zone Meeting.

TREASURER : The treasurer is responsible for all Club financial matters. Duties include :- (a) Receivables of all monies (b) Payment of all Club obligations such as District Dues (to be paid semi-annually ; Once before 1st January & 1st July each year) and International Dues (to be paid semi-annually ; Once on or before 1st January & 1st July each year) (c) maintaining proper and up-to-date financial records (d) Preparing and reporting the financial position before and during club meetings (e) submissions of Financial reports to the required authorities such as DG, VDG, RC, ZC & President (f) Prepare a projected Income and Expenses Statement for any upcoming projects and activities (g) Advisor to the President & the BOD relating to money matters. (h) To attend the Zone Meeting

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR : The membership Director serves as the Chairman of the membership committee. Responsible for :- (1) Membership development & growth program (2) Implementation of Recruitment and Retention Programs (3) Preparation of members orientation programs (4) To attend the Zone Meeting

TAMER : taking custody of all club property. Duties include (a) taking good care of the club property like banners, gravels, flags et cetera (b) Serving as Sergeant At Arms during meetings (c) distribution of materials and documents at all meetings.

TAIL-TWISTER : Serve to promote harmony, good fellowship and enthusiasm at the club meetings via judicious imposition of fines on members. The Tail Twister may not be fined except by the unanimous vote of all members present. Any funds collected by the Tail Twister are immediately turned over to the Treasurer.

UNDERSTANDING TO THE LIONS EMBLEM

The emblem of the Association consists of a large Gold letter 'L' on a purple field ; the letter 'L' signifies Law, Liberty, Labor, Loyalty, Love, Life & Lions.

Bordering this is a circular gold area with two conventionealized Lion profile facing away from the center. The word 'LIONS' appears at the top and 'INTERNATIONAL' at the bottom. Symbolically, the Lions face both past and future, proud of the past & confident of the future.

The royal colors of purple & gold were selected as the official colors when the Association was organized in 1917. To Lions, Purple signifies Loyalty to Friends, to one's self & for integrity of mind and heart. It is the traditional colors of Strength, courage & tiredless dedication to a cause. Gold symbolises sincerity of purpose, liberality in judgement, purity in judgement, purity in life and generousity in mind, heart and purse to those in need.

The slogan " LIONS " carries the meaning "LIBERTY, INTELLIGENCE, OUR NATION'S SAFETY"

TO SHOW my fate in the worthiness of my vacation by industrious application to the end that I may merit a reputation for quality of services.

TO SEEK success & to demand all fair remuneration or profits as my just due, but to accept no profit or success at the price of my own self respect lost because of unfair advantage taken or because of questionable acts on my part.

TO REMEMBER that in building up my business it is not necessary to tear down another; to be loyal to my clients or customers and true to myself.

WHENEVER a doubt arises as to the right or ethics of my position or action towards others, to resolve such doubt against myself.

TO HOLD FRIENDSHIP as an end & not means. To hold that true friendship exists not on account of the service performed one to another, but that true friendship demands nothing but except service in the spirit in which it is given.
ALWAYS BEAR in mind my obligations as a citizen to my nation, my state and my community, and to give them my unswerving loyalty in word, act and deed. To give them freely of my time, labor & means.

LIONS CLUBS OBJECTIVES

Every club has they own set of objective(s) or purpose of their establishment. As for Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur OUG, it is of no difference. With our club, we have had set the following guidelines as our purpose of establishment. They are as follows:-

TO CREATE and foster a spirit of understanding among the people of the world.

TO PROMOTE the principles of good government and good citizenship.

TO TAKE an active interest in the civic, cultural, social & moral welfare of the community.

TO UNITE the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding

TO PROVIDE a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, the partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.

TO ENCOURAGE service minded men to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency & promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavours.
